InnovationThe main challenge was blending 3D effects into a bold, 2D-inspired style. Sharp lighting and brushstroke-shaped cards were transformed in compositing to break up background and character outlines. We combined the image with 2D effects. Soft lines and sketch effects convey vulnerability and inner conflict.
ToolkitOn Courage, we used Maya (Arnold), Nuke, Houdini, Substance Painter, Mari, Zbrush and TVPaint.
