InnovationFor this visualization, proteomic atlases were consulted for the identity and abundance of molecules in the cytoplasm and membrane (~100,000 different proteins and ~500,000 DNA base-pairs were included in the model). Custom workflows were created for the automated import of molecules and procedural clustering into cellular regions according to function.
ToolkitThis visualization was made possible using Autodesk Maya’s Bifrost and our custom software, Molecular Maya.
