Workshop: How GenAI, Mixed Reality, and New Technologies Are Shaping Communication
DescriptionAs artificial intelligence, mixed reality, and conversational interfaces become deeply embedded in daily life, how are they reshaping human connection and communication? Join human-centered mixed-reality designer Ketki Jadhav and cognitive linguist Aubrie Amstutz for an interactive exploration of communication's transformation. Through speculative dialogue and group activities, we'll examine critical questions: How does mixed reality's partial translation of body language impact group dynamics? Do voice assistants change how we communicate with humans? Can AI avatars fulfill our social needs? This 90-minute workshop combines expert perspectives with hands-on engagement to envision communication's evolving landscape.
