What's New in COPland?
DescriptionCopernicus was released in beta form as part of Houdini 20.5, adding an entirely new context for GPU-accelerated image processing. Since then, the team has been busy addressing existing deficiencies and expanding its functionality to enable new possibilities for artists and tool developers. This talk offers a peek at some of the exciting features coming to Copernicus in Houdini 21. From newly-added nodes and interactive workflows, to baking and material blending: this presentation will give an overview of tools available in Copernicus for texture generation and editing. We will also cover other powerful constructs introduced in the upcoming version, such as cables and live simulations--including brand new solvers implemented within the Copernicus framework. Finally, the presentation will dive into improvements to slap comp, where we will demonstrate how Copernicus and Solaris can work together to help you get the most out of the viewport--or to stylize its look completely.
