System Software Engineer - Graphics and Image for Harmony OS
DescriptionWe are building the next-generation graphics stack for HarmonyOS NEXT, enabling industry-leading rendering, display, and visual intelligence across devices. As a key member of the graphics platform team, you will work on core rendering systems—from 2D/3D engines to HDR pipelines and neural rendering—defining the foundation for immersive user interfaces, spatial computing, and gaming performance.

Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement the HarmonyOS NEXT graphics subsystem, including rendering frameworks, display pipelines, GPU drivers, and spatial rendering engines.
2. Lead graphics performance analysis and optimization, targeting low-latency, high-efficiency rendering on mobile hardware.
3. Advance next-gen rendering capabilities such as NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, and hybrid neural-physical pipelines.
4. Optimize game rendering experience with enhanced GPU utilization, visual quality, and interaction responsiveness.
5. Collaborate closely with system, hardware, and media teams to deliver OS-level rendering innovations.
Location Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, Beijing, Hangzhou, etc.

Description of Position: PhD; Full-Time; Desired Level of Education: Master’s degree
Other Skills or Experience: 1. Master’s or PhD in Computer Graphics, Computer Science, or related field. 2. Deep understanding of graphics stacks in mobile OS (e.g., HarmonyOS, Android, iOS), including 2D/3D engines, HDR, drivers, and memory systems. 3. Familiarity with GPU/display subsystems (GPU, DSS, Display Controller, NPU), and real-time rendering performance tuning. 4. Hands-on experience with neural rendering (e.g., NeRF, 3DGS) and traditional rendering engines (Unity, Unreal, Cocos). 5. Proficient in graphics APIs and tools: Vulkan, OpenGL, DirectX, GLSL/HLSL, RenderDoc, Nsight, etc. 6. Strong coding skills in C/C++, with system-level design thinking and cross-team collaboration ability.
