Practical Inverse Rendering of Textured and Translucent Appearance
DescriptionThis work addresses recovering textured materials using inverse rendering. Our Laplacian mipmapping improves the reconstruction of high-resolution textures. We also propose a novel gradient computation that enables efficiently reconstructing textured, path-traced subsurface scattering. The methods are applied to challenging scenes, including reconstructing realistic human face appearance from sparse captures.
