Moment Bounds are Differentiable: Efficiently Approximating Measures in Inverse Rendering
DescriptionMeasures can be compactly represented and approximated using the theory of moments. This work proves that such moment-based representations are differentiable, leading to principled and efficient approaches for approximating transmittance and visibility in differentiable rendering.
