24. Preserving Intangible Cultural Heritage of Megalithic Sites Using Immersive Mobile XR

DescriptionIn this poster we introduce the INT-ACT project which aims to investigate the use of immersive mobile eXtended Reality (XR) environments for presenting the emotional, experiential and environmental dimensions of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) associated with tangible cultural heritage sites. We also present a museum exhibition that we have developed as part of INT-ACT that focuses on the ICH related to a prehistoric megalithic site in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Visitors to the exhibition can interact with the physical environment using a mobile immersive mobile XR app to access different audio-visual media content presenting the ICH of the selected site..
