Paul Dietz is a regular SIGGRAPH contributor and volunteer. Best known for his seminal work on touch interfaces, he is a prolific inventor of interaction technologies including Parallel Reality(TM) displays and ShArc shape sensors. He has held senior research positions at Disney, Mitsubishi Electric and Microsoft and is a serial entrepreneur. Currently, Dr. Dietz is a Distinguished Engineer in Residence in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto where he is leading a nation-wide effort to empower students to tell their stories using the tools of physical computing.
