Hanspeter Pfister is the An Wang Professor of Computer Science at Harvard SEAS, affiliated with the Center for Brain Science and the D3 Institute. His research spans visualization, graphics, and machine learning, with a focus on biomedical image analysis. Previously, he was Associate Director at Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, leading the development of the VolumePro graphics card. Pfister is an ACM and IEEE Fellow and has received multiple awards, including the IEEE Visualization Technical Achievement Award. He has a Ph.D. from Stony Brook University and an M.Sc. from ETH Zurich.
