Freddy Chávez Olmos is a multidisciplinary Creative Director with over 19 years of experience in filmmaking and visual effects. Renowned for staying at the forefront of emerging technologies, he blends AI and innovation to empower creators and shape the future of visual storytelling.
Born in Puebla, Mexico, Freddy studied special effects makeup in Los Angeles and apprenticed under legendary artist Dick Smith. Now based in Vancouver, he has collaborated with visionary directors including Guillermo del Toro, Neill Blomkamp, Robert Rodriguez, Tim Burton, and Christopher Nolan, working at top-tier VFX studios like Double Negative, Industrial Light & Magic, Weta Digital, Image Engine, Fuse FX, Method, Barnstorm, and Scanline VFX.
His strong technical and creative expertise spans blockbuster productions, showcasing his versatility across VFX-heavy projects. Freddy's recent work on Superman & Lois demonstrates his forward-thinking use of machine learning to streamline and enhance production workflows.
