Biography
Ginger Alford is a Professor of Computer Science at SMU Lyle School of Engineering in Dallas, TX, where her work includes curriculum development in computer graphics, visual computing, VR/AR, and Digital Twins. Her career has balanced software engineering industry experience, intellectual property consulting and education. Committed to arts-centered engineering education at all levels, she has held Program Director roles in K-12 schools and museums overseeing development of course, curriculum, and teacher training programs, including an ongoing innovative animatronics program that embeds electronics in core middle school curriculum. She is Chair of the 2025 ACM SIGGRAPH Conference.
