Lutz Latta

Biography
Lutz Latta is a Principal Engineer in Lucasfilm’s Advanced Development Group and ILM's immersive teams. He has led technology development and system engineering on a number of Lucasfilm's innovative VR, AR, and immersive experiences, such as the Emmy-winning mixed reality experience “What If...? – An Immersive Story” and the Oscar-winning VR installation “CARNE y ARENA.” Additionally he designed hardware and software systems of ILM’s Emmy-winning visual effects technology StageCraft, used extensively in many productions such as Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian.
Previously, Lutz worked on video games at LucasArts and Electronic Arts. He has given talks at SIGGRAPH, GDC, and other conferences.
