Biography
Adam W. Bargteil is an associate professor in the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. His primary research interests lie in computer animation. He earned his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley and spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. From 2005 to 2007, he was a consultant at PDI/DreamWorks. In addition to a SIGGRAPH 2024 Course on Optimization, he has also offered a SIGGRAPH course on Physics-based Animation in 2018 and 2019 and virtually at SIGGRAPH Asia 2020.
