Yasuaki Kakehi

Biography
Yasuaki is an interactive media researcher and artist, currently a professor at The University of Tokyo. With a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Information Studies, he creates interactive media blending physical materials with digital technology, enhancing experiences of objects, the body, and space. His work spans engineering, art, and design, showcased at SIGGRAPH, Ars Electronica, YCAM, and ICC. Yasuaki's accolades include an Honorable Mention at STARTS PRIZE 2022, the Excellence Award at the 23rd Japan Media Arts Festival, Best Paper Award at ACM CHI 2017, and the Young Scientist Award.
