Huamin Qu is the founding dean of the Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS), the founding head of the Division of Emerging Interdisciplinary Areas (EMIA), and a chair professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and was the founding acting head of the Computational Media and Arts Thrust Areas (CMA) at HKUST(GZ).
