Daisuke Iwai is a professor at the University of Osaka and leads the XR Group. His research interests include augmented reality, virtual reality, projection mapping, projector-camera systems, computational displays, digital fabrication, human-computer interaction, and Shitsukan science. Professor Iwai has received numerous awards, including the Osaka University Distinguished Professor title and the JSPS Prize, as well as multiple Best Paper, Poster, and Demo Awards at major XR conferences such as SIGGRAPH ASIA, IEEE VR, and IEEE ISMAR.
