Presenter
Gregory Hurst
Biography
Greg Hurst is the Principal Mathematician at United Therapeutics, specializing in human organ design, computational geometry, and algorithm development. He designed a 'Human Lung Equivalent', a computational model that replicates the anatomical and functional complexity of a human lung, and generated 3D printing slices using OpenVDB in order to bring the model into physical form. Greg is an active member of the OpenVDB Steering Committee and has contributed open-sourced bindings between Mathematica and OpenVDB.
