Nathaniel Larouche
Biography
Nathaniel Larouche is a Canadian VFX and virtual production supervisor known for blending cutting-edge technology with storytelling. Based in Toronto, he has led teams on Mr. Robot, The Umbrella Academy, Watchmen, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and The Penguin.

Raised just outside Montreal he got into filmmaking early—messing around with editing and stop-motion as a kid. This led him to study computer graphics in Toronto, where he realized he could combine his love of art, tech, and storytelling into a career.

Nathaniel has pioneered real-time workflows and virtual production techniques, always pushing for more flexible, visual, and collaborative ways to work. His main focus? Helping other creatives explore and embrace new tech in service of great storytelling.

Outside the studio, he’s a hands-on filmmaker with a taste for the surreal. His short films—Necronomicon, Baby Deer, and the Soft Rain series—mix emotional narratives with experimental visuals, showcasing his personal creative side.
