Priscilla Yu

Biography
Priscilla Yu is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, and muralist working and living on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Vancouver, BC. Known for her characteristically vibrant imagery, her work is inspired by patterns in nature and architecture. Through abstracted points of perspective and a geometric visual language, she creates colourful worlds, entering the public realm through painting, illustration, murals, creative direction, surface design, and sculpture. Since graduating from Emily Carr University (2013, BFA), she has exhibited work in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle, and has participated in mural festivals iincluding the Vancouver Mural Festival (Vancouver, BC), Wide Open Walls (Sacramento, CA), D.C. Walls (Washington, DC), HK Walls (Hong Kong), and Wall-to-Wall (Winnipeg, MB). Her client partnerships have included Instagram, Facebook, 3M Scotch Tape, Lululemon, Amazon, WeWork, and others.
