Biography
Dr. Scottie Chih-Chieh Huang holds a PhD in Architecture and is currently Associate Professor at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), where he leads the BioLogicDesign Lab. His work focuses on computational design, robotic fabrication, shape-changing materials, interactive installation and generative art. He teaches in the Creative Design course track at NTHU’s Center for General Education (CGE), and also offers techno-art courses through a joint appointment at Interdisciplinary Program of Technology and Art (IPTA). His research explores new forms of aesthetic performance through BioMedia—media systems that simulate life-like behavior through technological and computational means, with works presented at ZKM, NYSCI, ARS Expanded, SIGGRAPH, CHI, VISAP, ISEA, Milan Design Week, and beyond.
