DESCRIPTION:Anjali Tripathi (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory)\n\nTo a dista
 nt spacecraft, the richness of our home planet appears as nothing more tha
 n a fraction of a pixel. When NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft took its famous 
 Pale Blue Dot photo in 1990, the only planets known were those in the Sola
 r System. Since then, nearly 6,000 planets have been discovered around oth
 er stars. These exoplanets are wildly different from our own, so the hunt 
 for another Earth is on. To find it, astrophysicists are developing the te
 chnology to directly image a habitable exoplanet. This distant pale blue d
 ot may provide the first glimpse of life beyond Earth and answer the quest
 ion of: “Are we alone?”. Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the futur
 e of the search for life in the Universe and how it’s reshaping the art an
 d storytelling of Earth and alien worlds.\n\nDr. Anjali Tripathi is an ast
 rophysicist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and NASA’s inaugural
  Exoplanet Science Ambassador. As an expert in planet formation and evolut
 ion, she has contributed to the design of new space missions for NASA. Dr.
  Tripathi is a leading science communicator, regularly featured by the BBC
 , PBS, and TED, and a film and television consultant for the National Acad
 emy of Sciences. She has served on the NASA Sea Level Change Team, been a 
 Research Associate of the Smithsonian, and led data visualization for the 
 L.A. County Department of Public Health COVID Data and Epidemiology Team. 
 She previously led science policy for the White House Office of Science an
 d Technology Policy and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She earned deg
 rees in physics and astrophysics from Harvard, Cambridge, and MIT.\n\nReco
